Methos' Bio
Oct. 31st, 2022 10:37 amMethos is an Immortal, a race of people who have the power to prevail over others like them by cutting their heads off. There is supposed to be a prize, and "there can be only one" is a phrase repeated often when you kill another immortal.
All Immortals are orphans, and they are taken in by families who shelter them without knowing what they are. An Immortal can live his own life without dying and never reveal his true nature. Other Immortals will know if someone is a preimmortal, and might either take him under his wing or kill him.
When an Immortal dies, he wakes up for the first time not knowing what happened. Since then he/she feels the presence of other immortals that are close. They can run or present battle. When an Immortal cuts his opponents' head off, they receive their strength through a Quickening.
Methos is 5000 years old, and was taken in by an Egyptian family who died in time. He has been married 68 times, but never to another immortal. The fact is that Immortal cannot have children.
Around 4000 BC Methos was a part of the Four Horsemen of the Apocallypsis. He was Death. At some moment he tricked Kronos, their leader, and entombed him so he could escape the group. When Duncan MacLeod meets him, Methos is hidden as a member of the Watchers, who are supposed to watch and not intervene. In fact, Methis is in charge of finding himself.
Methos has been lovers with Duncan MacLeod, but they have been apart for a long while now.
